Jonathan nailed it with his vetting process. He got me the narrower, long facets that I adore, no CVD stria “haze,” nor a brown tint. I louped it with my 10x and I couldn’t find the inclusions. I love the light and dark contrast, the patterning is spot on, no windowing, just a bright and glowing diamond. Happy, happy sighs. The hubby loves it too. Can’t recommend Jonathan and Vicki enough for their expertise and patience. We started the project early February and it arrived yesterday. I didn’t expect it so soon (nail appointment next week) so my nails are not at their best.

D/VS1 EC in PLAT setting, 1.43 ratio. Wink Jones at HP Diamonds did the PLAT setting with the .36 ctw F/G VS tapered baguettes. Shown with a Whiteflash PLAT and diamond band, and PLAT spacer.

The pictures do it no justice!

@baublelove thank you so much for the opportunity to serve. <3 it's awesome how that fit into your pre-existing ring and the optics on this Distinctive EC is just off the charts. Good job in capturing the brightness and patterning!

Jonathan, you and Vicki were a true pleasure to work with and I hope to do more projects with you in the future. Like you, I also geek out over what it takes to produce a beautiful EC beyond the given cert stats - like how the angles of the crown and P3 facets affect brightness and performance, screening for striae, etc, so I’m tickled pink that your cutters are able to cut LGs for performance vs weight retention. It’s an an amazing science to follow and many of us end up with a DG diamond of the utmost optical beauty! Cool, cool stuff :kiss2:

Well, well, well, if it isn't just one of the most spectacular pieces I've seen all year just sitting there on your finger! <3 Congratulations, it's a masterpiece of a ring. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I had to come back to relay yesterday’s experience at my local jewelry store, a long established, higher end, independent retail shop. I’ve a friendly relationship with their on staff GG as we have a project currently going and we wax on about jewelry on the regular. Showed her my LG EC and she was stunned at the cut quality. Her eyes grew wide and and her jaw dropped. She asked if she could test it and put it under their gemological microscope. It was too “perfect.” :lol-2: Sure enough it was a diamond and she had a hard time finding the inclusions at 70x. She went on to say that she’s never seen a diamond this beautiful. Most of the ones she’s seen are poorly cut with windowing and bowties, over darkness, etc. And she had just come back from the Tucson Gem Show this February! A few of the sales reps came over to see what the fuss was about too.

She gave me back my ring and asked me all sorts of questions on from whom, where, the hows. She couldn’t believe that LGs were being cut with such precision and screened with an eagle eye. She ended by saying she was one of those that would never buy lab diamonds but was now wondering if she should source rounds for an LG tennis bracelet for herself! @Rhino I gave her your contact and IG info, and how to find you on YouTube. Score one for DG LGs!!

Right??? Weren't you stunned the first time you saw it? I literally gasped the first time I saw mine! Then I took it into every lightning environment in my house waiting for it to look bad. Never happened! @Rhino is a genius!

% Yup, I was in awe, just stunned that my diamond was as close to perfect as can be!!! I also have been taking it into every lighting environment inside and out of my house! I freaking love it. ❤️

This is so bright and white! The cut is just amazing! What a stunning piece. One of the best LGD’s that I have seen! Jon did a beautiful job. Congrats!

Finally had a little time to get 2 videos. Gah, 54 y.o. hands clearly showing my age :snore:

Video 1. Daylight through the windows behind me, and yes the music is intentional :lol:

Video 2. Afternoon with diffused natural daylight, chandelier light behind ring

54 years of AWESOME!

Thank you, that's a positive way of looking at it. I've earned every wrinkle, patch of dry skin, and sun spot. They tell a story of a good and blessed life.

This darned laptop - won't let me "love" your comment and the one by @oncrutchesrightnow, but I do!

Gorgeous stone, gorgeous ring!
