That's about $100 less than I'd expect but:

1. I can't tell what the thickness is- or what the weight is
2. I don't know what the alloy is

There's a reason it's inexpensive.

I find GREAT deals on bands on E-bay. There is a vendor who sells heavy weight gold bands (thick in profile), whatever width you want, he will make for around $50. I don't think " there's a reason it's inexpensive". I just sold a brand new band with tagstill attached ($ 575), for $149! There was NO reason I sold it for so little, other than having some money for it, rather than having it sit in my jewelry box unworn. So, in this case the buyer is getting alot of gold (and diamonds) for a great price...considering I paid triple for it only months ago! If you keep your eyes open, you can get great deals with sellers on E-bay! I say go for it, Sizzle!I got a NEW channel set band (.66 carats of beautiful, eyeclean diamonds in white gold, for about $200, along with the band in my avatar, for about $120 (again, diamond quality is about G/H, SI-1, sparkly, eyeclean stones).

Actually I was hoping to help someone else. I got in on the Zales deal a month or so ago. I got 2 bands for around $225.

Everyone''s entitled to their opinion! I''m not buying a ring that''s "platinum". Is that 950 or 900? Is it ruthenium alloy or something else? Is it 1.3 mm thick? 1.5?

I didn''t mean to cause offense!

I wish I had seen this before the auction closed! This is exactly what I''m looking for! 2 2mm plat bands in size 4.75!

Imdanny - buyers do have to be cautious on ebay. It is very easy to write the seller and ask questions to confirm metal content, etc. At the price she was selling it for, it was less than half of what they are going for right now. It may have in fact been a great deal if it was 950plat, or even 900 for that matter. For me, I would have preferred a thinner height, so that would not have swayed me either. On this board, you may want to temper your responses slightly as PSrs generally try to be respectful of other posters.

FYI, I have an antique two tone band coming in from ebay that I won for $44. I am more than thrilled to find this band. It is very unique and exactly the size I was looking for. I consider it a true treasure find.

While it''s good to be cautious on eBay, I''d never discount the eBay experience entirely. I recently purchased two new in Box Morris and David white gold canary diamond 1.5 mm stackers for $600 total. They normally retail for around $900 each, or $1800 for two.
