If you were buying (for yourself if you are a woman or as a gift for a woman) a piece of jewelry for around $2K, what would you get? I''m looking for ideas to help a friend... and for things to put on my wish list
I would buy a shared prong half eternity band set in platinum--I'm currently looking into one with .25 cts/stone--or get a nice set of blue topaz jewelry (ring, earrings, necklace).
Congrats, VH! At what point did you reach the ideal status? I've got a ways to go to reach 500, but dissertation procrastination is bumping those numbers up quickly!
I don't know anything about that. I mean, it's not at all the same. I'm not working on my dissertation... just on these five papers I should really get around to writing this summer. Not at all the same thing....
Don't you hate writing papers?!?! I'm dying with the fact that I've written over 800 pp and am still not done! I've run so many statistical formulas for this thing that I can't even think straight anymore! At least diamonds are a great distraction! Good luck with your papers, Chialea!
Hmmm diamond earrings...$2k can buy a 1.10c set (.55c I SI2 each H&A) or less/more depending on your color and clarity combo...
Diamond pendant, $2k will get you something like a .75c I SI H&A unbranded in a simple 4 prong or bezel setting.
Diamond bracelet...depending on her taste.
3 stone ring....with a trio of I SI stones that are excellently cut, center stone about .60c and sides about .30c each.
Diamond eternity band...www.signedpieces.com has some amazing eternity bands for $2k or less! It's great because it's not a wedding or engagement thing and can be worn on any finger...but it's diamonds baby!
Or the old faithful...something from Tiffany in diamonds!
They have a few necklaces that are $2k and under...if she is into the blue box and something sparkly!
Lots of ideas!! I'm a diamond gal so I would always do the ice!!
Obviously there is room for just about as many choices as you might ask for. Unless you know something about what the receiver of the gift likes, diamonds and pearls make a fault-free ghift. There is allot about diamonds on this thread already... so I will vote for a pearl - just a single, as pendant. I just do not seem to see allot of nice pearl pendants around, and a larger piece stands out easily day into evening.
