Hi,

I was offered a pair of diamond studs at a local jewelry store.

The general overview is H-I color, I1 clarity for $4387. Is this a good deal?

I have not seen it in person and will take a trip to see this weekend. Should I even bother?

Thanks.

Are they lab graded stones? If not, they''re likely I-K in color and I1 or I2 in clarity in GIA/AGS standards. You don''t know the cut grade of these either. I found a 1 carat J on jamesallen fo $1,780. So I would say it probably isn''t a good deal.

HI:

What does "a good deal" mean to you? "Good deal" is a relative term, and all I1 stones are not created equal. I have AGS 0, I1, H & I color, Ideal, branded stones for earrings (2.12ctw) and they were considerably more expensive than what you''ve been offered. Did I get a good deal--I believe so!

cheers--Sharon
