Best way to use ultrasonic

My brother bought an Elmasonic PH150L to clean his records. I immediately saw this as an opportunity to clean my rings. I did not want to drop my rings to the bottom so we hung it from a kite string and hook. It does not move too much but I want to make sure it gets as clean as possible. Would it be better to have it sitting somewhere?

I'm came with a little plastic basket, but you can buy them anywhere. Very nice ultrasonic cleaner btw!
