I am very excited for the additions to our property this year and find that most people in my life aren't that interested in growing things. I'd love to see pictures, hear stories, share tips, and whatever else garden related with all those interested. Fruits, veggies, flowers, seeds, greenhouses, containers on patios, or whatever else you have!

We have a tiny one (we really only have a small balcony to grow stuff on). But I got a nice surprise yesterday that the orchid were reflowering, and so is the bonsai. I ended up taking a bunch of photos. Sorry i have no idea how to get rid of the date stamps on these. 20230208_093629.jpg

I am going to try to be good. Last count was 68 new plants coming the first week of March. That doesn't include the five varieties of elderberries I still need to get in the ground or about 30 left from last year needing planted. All but five are edible! A few fruit trees, a few nut trees, lots of berries, and a couple of types of mushrooms. Plus 300 onion sets, a dozen varieties of garlic, three types of potato, and whatever seeds I start. Planning to add at least two new raised beds plus two stock tanks and a kiddie pool being repurposed as planters.

We in the process of getting our garden started. Now the pool is complete, well apart from the deck coating and the glass balustrades, the landscapers started last week. ATM it looks worse than a ploughed field because of the weather.

I would like to say it’ll be beautiful, but we’re going with xeriscaping because of the heat and lack of water, so it’ll be a lot of grasses and that’s about it.
