My requirements for my Round center stone:

1. GIA - 3X cut or AGS Ideal
2. Clarity - eye clean SI1 or VS2
3. Color - Looking at mainly I and J. Don't mind some fluorescence.
4. I want the largest diamond possible for my budget considering the above

What are your thoughts on this stone?

That link wont work for me.

This looks like a nice one...

Edit - I got it to come up by getting rid of the stuff after the diamond ID. Looks like it could be a good stone. I cant bring up
the little aset/idealscope images because I dont have an account with them. :((

Re: $2000 budget round center stone. Help me choose

Thanks TyTy, I didn't see this one. I grabbed the images from the website and included details for both.

Neil should I be concerned at this price point? Does the Faint fluorescence bring the cost down that much? Its about $700 less than other J SI1's I have seen.

I would find out if this one is eye-clean.

Of the two posted above I like the second one better. It just looks a lot cleaner than the first one. Will you be able to tell any of it
in real life ...probably not. Did you make sure that both are eye-clean?

I had asked them before and they did say it was eye clean. Id inquire about their return policy. If its free shipping for returns, might be worth seeing.

confirmed both are eye clean. 30 day no questions asked return policy.

Do they pay for the shipping back?

Yes they do.

Might be worth the time!

Neil, What are you thoughts on SI1 stones that have feathers as a primary characteristic? Should I bump up to a VS2 clarity instead to be safe?

I am in the same boat, but there are significant price differences sometimes between a VS2 and SI1 when an SI1 can be just as eye-clean as a VS2 and the VS2 be worse looking that the SI1. I wound up personally narrowing my search to VS2 since I get a less broad amount of diamonds to look through that are SI1 and have the satisfaction that it is both eye clean AND has little to no inclusions but it's all a matter of preference and budget. If you're looking to stick to your budget then look for a clean SI1 as the cheaper VS2's may not give the same value or appearance
