Hi all,
I''m considering these 2 stone on WF. These are not "in-house" so I have to ask them to bring in, which cost $65 each. So I''m not sure which one to ask?

1.8ct H VS1
. Depth %: 62.9
. Table %: 56
. Girdle: TN-STK
. Measurements: 7.76-7.70X4.86
. CUT: AGS Excellent 1
. Polish: Excellent
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: None
. Fluorescence: Strong Blue
. Crown: 33.3 degree
. Pavilion: 41 degree
. HCA score: 1.1 - Excellent

Or
1.76ct H VS1
. Depth %: 61.8
. Table %: 57
. Girdle: M-STK
. Measurements: 7.73-7.77X4.79
. CUT: GIA Excellent
. Polish: Very Good
. Symmetry: Excellent
. Culet: None
. Fluorescence: None
. Crown: 34 degree
. Pavilion: 41 degree
. HCA score: 1.5 - Excellent

The 1.80ct has strong-blue fluorescense, but excellent polish and ideal symmetry.
The 1.76ct has no fluorescense, but only "very good" polish and Excellent symmetry.

I would ask for the second one to be brought in, the first is on the deep side. You should not notice any difference between good and above for polish, so that shouldn''t be a problem.

Thanks Lorelei. What about Excellent vs. Ideal Symmetry? Would that make a difference on leakage?

No, you shouldn''t notice a difference between Ex and Ideal symmetry either. Leakage is often caused by crown and pavilion angles not complementing each other as well as they could do.

Hi Elen,
WF sale person did show me that. It''s nice, but is $3-4K outside of my budget.
and yes, the cost is the reason. For >1.75ct, H, VS1 and <$15-16K, I thought that would be the one to check out. What do you think?

The one Ellen linked is outstanding. But of those two you posted, the second one would be my pick.

I had a feeling it was price, but just wanted to make sure you knew about the other.

I think the second one has much potential!

Hi Ellen, Diamonseeker2006:
Below is the two diamonds side-by-side. Could you please give me the reasons as to why the ACA one you mentioned is better based on the physical information presented?

Thanks,
Lance

Once WF bring the diamond in, they may be able to supply you with an Idealscope and Sarin then, they don''t have this info on diamonds they don''t own, it has to be done if and when they call a stone in.
