Yes, the diamond on the right of the actual diamond pics, is the one I prefer. The first diamond appears to be a bit dark and appears to be leaking light in areas according to the Idealscope and ASET, also in the photo, the other looks better to me.Date: 6/18/2008 9:23:13 AM

For what particular reasons? And are you corresponding the diamond on the right to the second diamond I posted? Thank you for your input
I think the second one looks to be well worth consideration, especially if WF rate it. Good radiants are hard to find, and that one looks to be a pretty diamond to my eyes. What is the WF verdict on this one? They won''t steer you wrong!Date: 6/18/2008 9:33:58 AM

Do you think the second one is good or just the better of the two? I am getting close to the deadline and don''t have too much time left for the search. Thanks again for your help and opinions. I really wish I found PS earlier.
I know, it seems all radiant buyers have their work cut out for them when shopping!!! Although the images are useful, they don''t trump an expert''s eye, or several of them if Brian polled everyone for their opinions! Personally I prefer the H, but I would be guided by Brian ultimately, as his expert eyes will know best!Date: 6/18/2008 9:42:18 AM

Brian pretty much said it comes down to what I like. He said he felt the H would look better under normal light. Whereas you will see those dark spots in the G. He polled everyone in the office at the time of talking to him and it was a 3/3 split between the two. The H is cheaper and I think it will sparkle more in a normal setting. It is very hard to find a square radiant that has good numbers. Which is the only thing I have at first to judge before I can request them to bring it in. Darn her for liking square radiants! haha
I could tell by the images, and also if anyone mentions the name Brian around here, it is fairly safe to assume they mean Brian Gavin!Date: 6/18/2008 9:51:32 AM

How did you know I was buying from WF by the way?
To the best of my knowledge not usually with light return, setting can improve apparent colour in some cases. If you prefer the other diamond, then ask Brian which one would be best. Although we have the images which are very useful, they won''t replace an expert eye, so let Brian steer you in the right direction.Date: 6/18/2008 10:37:56 AM

Will there be a noticeable difference in the stone when mounted? And if so are these differences usually more positive or negative?
The price is fine, no worries, also you will typically find brick and mortar jewellers will be more expensive than online vendors.Date: 6/18/2008 2:53:01 PM

I know you are not an expert, but what is your opinion on the approx. 3400 price tag for the H? I think I''ve seen a lot of poorly cut worse color worse clarity for the same and more. Especially in local stores.
I think an X-factor would be an excellent choice.Date: 6/18/2008 9:21:56 PM

I have now been shown the X-factor stone. I really like the look of it. But I have no idea how to judge the quality of it or what it's worth. Besides that, if I took it to get independently appraised, would they even do it or know how to? I am really confused as to what to do now. Any knowledge or opinions would be great!
