Hello
I am offered 2 diamonds which are more or less similar in weight, both S1, J colour GIA certified Both 3X.
However 1 diamond which is supposed to have a body tint of white is 15% higher priced as compared to the diamond which is supposed to have a LB Body tint (Light brown)
The vendor is confirming that the premium is not due to superior cut or fire, but simply because of the body tint of white vs LB
The GIA certificate is silent on the body tint and simply certifies both as J color
As i am a novice, it is very difficult for me to make out any difference in the color, but i wanted to know if in the long run, is the value of a diamond affected by the body tint?
