we had thought we found the right diamond and then we saw another one tonight that was slightly smaller but had more fire and brilliance. Based on the specs which one seems to be a better deal and will hold up better value . Thanks for looking and all your expert advice MB

http://www.abazias.com/database/NewDiamondInfo.asp?stock=1673913337 This link seems to be the exact diamond that is stated above but the people I am going through are asking such a drastically lower price. IS THIS SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS?

#2 GIA Cert They wnat $6800
Carat Weight 1.38

Clarity SI2
Depth 63.5 %
Table 62%
Symmetry VG
Polish VG
Girdle TK-XTK

http://www.abazias.com/database/NewDiamondInfo.asp?stock=42001780&src=builder This link shows the above diamond exactly and the dealer I am going through wants about $1000 more. IS there usually any wiggle room since I can buy the same exact diamond for $1000 less on here?

well, we really need pictures to tell much of anything, you just can''t judge cushions by the #''s. i will say that the table on #1 is HUGE...i''d pass on that reason alone. it''s not surprising that you''ll find better pricing with an online vendor. Can I please suggest that you contact Mark T at engagementringsdirect to help you? he''s located in the diamond district and just has an eye for amazing cushions and his pricing is amazing too. also check out Goodoldgolds website as Jon hand selects his cushions and they are all winners. personally, i''d also stick to stones graded by GIA, but that''s me

DITTO. And one more thing...don''t think of this diamond as an investment that will hold value. It won''t. The resale value on diamonds is pretty terrible.
