I have the perfect 2 ct princess cut diamond... Now for the setting! She likes a thin band with the diamond sitting high off the finger. No solitare... sidestone and pave are okay. My jewler found this for a great price and I kind of like it! It has 10 small diamonds that are .10 c tw. Im not sure what size stone this round is but I wanted to get everyones feedback on how this would look with a 2 ct (6.85mm X 6.85mm) princess. Is this too thin???

Those measurements are similar to my 1.2ct RB, so I think that width of band should be ok. The band looks like it is a little thicker/higher for extra strenth?

All diamond bands are not created equal though. Sometimes with a deal you can have issues with the quality and would wish you had spent a bit more for a known commodity.

Other than price... Is there anything to look for to ensure a better quality??? Perhaps spec''s on finish, etc? I forgot to mention the material is 14K White Gold.

Any other feedback???

Are you going to see that ring in person to see if you can determine the quality? I really like the common
prong from james allen. A thin band will really make the stone look hugh!

I think it looks beautiful and will definitely make your center stone pop! it looks like theres plenty of metal on the underside of the diamonds on the shank to help with durabilty, The diamonds are so tiny with very tiny prongs, you will definitly need to get the ring check more frequently to make sure the sidestones stays in tact Leon Mege produces one of the thinnest settings even with paves but most of his work is in Platinum, is this setting in platinum?

These thin rings are definitley in fashion, but because they begin life as thin rings, there is less excess metal to wear away before the ring becomes weaker or worn out. It isn''t a huge deal because you can readily replace it with some other "in style" mounting in the future anyway. If the person getting the ring does hard work with the ring on, it may be subject to premature bending. These thin designs look great, but they are not as strong as heavy weight ones.

A diamond that large would look best in a cathedral setting! Thin with pave diamonds! If you can''t find something you like on the market, you can get a very expedient quote for a custom ring from whiteflash. I spoke with one of their representatives and I was told I COULD send them my own diamond and they would set it into the setting I chose! Including a custom made ring!

I think a thin band with diamonds will look great with a 2 ct PC.
