I have been reading the forums for a few weeks, and primarily looking at stones between 1.5 and 1.75. I went to a trusted local jeweler, and determined I cant see color in any stones at G or higher. However on a search this 2.01 Carat S1 G stone caught my eye. HCA of 1.8. Shame Blue Nile does not have real images of the stone.

Any thoughts?

The crown angle is too high to be safe without an ASET image. We usually recommend 34-35 for a crown angle with pavilion angle 40.6-40.9, but 35.5 can be pretty safe with a 40.6. I wouldn't consider buying any diamond blind other than a hearts and arrows stone such as Whiteflash ACA or other branded H&A stone, however, those all show images of the stones and the light return images anyway. I also would never buy anything under VS clarity without magnified images, as not all SI1 stones are eyeclean.

Stick to vendors who have photos and light return images: Whiteflash, Good Old Gold, High Performance Diamonds, Victor Canera, James Allen (some).
