id use yellow gold for the center ring and 1/2 sapphires in the outer bands and an asscher for the center.. but yea I would to answer the question.

1. Yes, you would mix a plain solitaire setting with two matching pave milgrain bands with it ....

or

2. No, you would not mix the two looks.

ETA: I already have the two bands ... this is the only picture that I could find that would come close to what I think I would like.

I have two 2mm wide WG wedding/anniversary bands that hubby gave me which I just love. They are not ideal cut, however, these babies do sparkle ... and I was very surprised with their sparkles. I think they are each total .25 tcw and have 15 stones in each, and have a very, very delicate milgrain. The sides are plain and smooth which I think will work out well and not have anything rubbing against eachother too much.

I have been looking at LeoIngwer from Jonathan''s site and have found a couple of settings I will call and talk with Marie at Good Old Gold tomorrow, but today, I went back to GOG''s new awesome site, and saw the Stuller link, and clicked on it, and I have found some very nice settings there too.

I came across this picture and liked it, I just didn''t know if it would look too funny mixing the plain solitaire with the milgrain of the bands. I tried looking for solitaire settings that were thin that had milgrain, however, I didn''t have much luck.

I think the picture above with the two matching bands have 2 more diamonds each, and they curve a bit, while mine do not cure ... it''s pretty close to what I have.

Anyway, I just would like some opinions on what you''all think. I think it looks ok, but not for sure yet.

Oh WAIT, I just saw you have a round brilliant center stone. I would DEFINITELY do it.

For some reason, I think pave looks best with certain cuts, and RB is definitely one of them.

Hello everyone!

Thanks for all the replies so far.

The bands in the pic are a little different than mine. Mine do not curve. The two wedding/anniversary rings in the pic look like they have heavy milgraining, while mine do not. Mine have a delicate milgraining only on the inner edge, I can run my fingernail gently against the top ... and the outside edge is smooth, while the inner edge has the delicate ridges. I hope this makes sense ... don''t know how else to explain it.

Anyway, I do tend to be a "Matchy ~ Matchy" person, however, I do think the look is OK, I just wanted to see what others thought about it.

I am having a hard time looking at pics and trying to figure out if I will love it. Anyone else have this problem?

I have found some other looks that I like, maybe after I talk with Marie at Good Old Gold today about pricing ... I will share some of the contenders thus far.

Thanks Feathers for posting that pic. I have had a hard time trying to find an ering that had milgrain on it, and I see that it does have some delicate milgrain with the bags ... pretty.

that set at Pearlmans! I wished I could afoard the Michael B lace ... and those bands with it are so delicate and beautiful ... Just so yummy!

If anyone else has any pics of a solitaire setting or ering setting that has milgrain on it, please feel free to post, I am open to suggestions!

I have seen a couple of erings that have milgrain, they also have blue saph''s in them ... Marie at GOG is checking on the width of the rings, and also ... The price.
