I want to apologize in advance for any confusion this post causes. I purchased this diamond from the lovely Inked last month. I received the entire ring and sent it to David Klass promptly to have the diamond removed and a new setting made. I would never have fit in a 4.5 size ring sadly. As my setting was being made, I made the decision to go with a larger diamond. So I have this diamond already set, in a different ring. I am happy to sell the diamond by itself or the entire ring. Whichever you prefer.
Some details on the diamond. It was recut by Ashley at Southwest Diamonds Cutters. He has recut a number of diamonds for Pricescopers and does a beautiful job! He will be cutting my new larger diamond.
The diamond is a HPHT diamond. There is no blue nuance shown on the certificate. It is F and VS1. The measurements are: 9.02 x 9.04 x 5.45mm
It is certified by GIA. If you care to look at that the number is- 5222765001.
The diamond is gorgeous, just beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing other than size. So that is what I am changing. I'll be doing the exact same cut and with Ashley.
This diamond before cutting was 3 carats. What Ashley is charging for a recut now is 500 per carat. So the cutting alone would be 1,500 for a 3 carat diamond.
I am asking 2,800 for the diamond alone.
For the ring with this diamond i I am asking 4,200. David still has the ring. It would be a brand new ring. Perfect for Valentine's Day or an engagement!
The mounting is platinum weighing 8.8 grams. It is set with .17cts of VS clarity single cut diamonds and is a size 7.25.
David said he can easily unset the stone and he can also resize the ring if needed.
