Cut determines the fire and brilliance, not color and clarity. On stones that tiny, I''m not sure how you evaluate cut except to know your jeweler well.
they will be round brilliant stones full cut, is it worth going up to vs2 from si1? is there any noticeable difference on the overall effect of the stones in a channel setting
Assuming cut quality is the same on both, I do not believe that SI1 would be a problem. Just want to be sure the jeweler is trustworthy and it''s truly an SI range, not lower. My original setting and wedding band from Jared had horribly cut stones and very poor clarity and it certainly had a negative effect on the look of the rings, but it doesn''t sound like you''re even dealing with anything of that poor quality.
