2.59 F SI2 - Please review, pics attached!!!!

Hello everyone,

As mentioned in my previous post, I was all set to purchase a 2.25 F SI1 AGS 000 stone for my girlfriend from Whiteflash, when I ran across a 2.59 F SI2 GIA triple excellent stone from Brian Gavin. It is a virtual diamond, so we asked our contact at Whiteflash to pull up the diamond. She said that someone had already requested a look at that diamond a few weeks back but Whiteflash sent it back because there was a bit of leakage throughout the table? She sent me pictures so that I could see. Please let me know your thoughts - still not sure whether it's worth it to go down in claritiy for an .25 increase in carat size, help!!!!!

The diamond probably performs just fine because we can't necessarily see such subtle flaws from the idealscope with our eyes. I would personally have more concern over the inclusions and would prefer the 2.25 SI1 more than likely.

Did you ask if it's eye clean? The inclusion is right in the middle. For a stone that size it doesn't seem like it'd be eye clean to me.

Hmm, yes, she just confirmed to me that diamond was also returned because it wasn't eye clean...

Then I'd scratch it off the list. It is very rare to find an eyeclean SI2 in a 2.5 ct. diamond. I'd stick with SI1 or VS2.
