2.1mm band

Is a 2.1mm micropave white gold band too thin for a 1.22ct halo? People have been telling me that the band will be delicate to wear all the time. I obviously wouldn''t wear it if I was moving heavy things or working out, but I do plan on wearing it most all the time! I feel like I''ve seen really thin bands here, so what are your experiences? The setting is white gold- is that a problem? Does that make it too delicate/weak?

The band on the ring in my avatar is 2mm wide (platinum) containing a 0.75 diamond in a halo with the diameter of 8mm. The thickness of the band, or how high it sits off the finger, is a bit thicker than the width. I don''t have prongs though, and the head of the ring is enclosed on the sides (not the bottom). I''ve worn the ring constantly for 4 years now and it has never bent or had a problem.
