Is it a GIA graded diamond? The grading lab can have an impact on price, you can use the search tool Pricescope your Diamond at the top of the page to get a feel for prices, just enter in shape, grading lab and your colour and clarity, this will bring up similar for you to compare.

Whoa ... have you seen this stone? I see 1/2 dozen things that don''t sit well w/me from the stats alone. For starters: seems VERY deep, very long & narrow, probably hiding weight in the girdle which affects spread (looking smaller than it should) and cut (not as sparkly possibly) ... LARGE culet is unusual in "brilliant" cut cushions ... and just "good" polish & sym kinda means "fair" ... most folks around here seek VG at a minimum.

What Lab is the cert from? Have you seen a lot of other cushions to compare??

that''s kind of what i was worried about, i didn''t think that the stats really agreed with the price. i saw it, it looks nice, i just don''t know if it''s great. i don''t know much about diamonds, but i want to make the best of my money

I mostly agree with deco (as usual)-- lots of red flags here...

Two asides, though: First, antique and old-style cushions are often certed as "cushion brilliants" and often have slightly large-large culets. So, if this is in fact a old-style stone, the culet may not be a problem if that is the "look" you desire. The same goes for the Pol/Sym to a certain extent, as i found it hard to locate old-style stones, especially antiques, that are VG/VG, although G/VG or VG/G are out there.

My basic point is that there are some issues here, but a few might not be as concerning depending on the type of facet plot we are talking about.

If this is an Antique type Cushion (based on the large culet)..., the depth could be ok (especialy if the crown height is high!!!)
The ratio of this stone is 1:1.23 (not considered long and narrow).

I am reminding all: be carefull not to discourage consumers that come to PS to educate themselves by identifying the Diamonds
(asked by them) as problematic! Especialy Diamonds that must be seen/judged with the eyes!!!

This specific Cushion has a GOOD chance to being a great Diamond. But must be judged with the eyes.

DG is right - it could be an intersesting stone.
It will not have a huge spread, but there are fans here of the fire that such stones produce.
