Ok so I am looking at the 2 following stones:

http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-1204644.htm#

and

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1151321.htm

My questions is this:

Stone #1 looks incredible but I believe the VSB flourescence is the reason to the seamingly great price. Do you need "ACA" or "H&A" for s stone that sparkles like none other? And...will I realy notice the VSBF or is the slight notice worth the size, color and clarity increase?

I''m assuming I''ll get a mixed review.

Both look great to me! I''m not sure about this, but the very strong fluorescence MIGHT be the only reason the first isn''t an ACA. Of course I could totally be wrong and hopefully someone will correct me if I am, but I don''t THINK stones with a lot of fluorescence can be called ACAs. Light performance is zero, which is the most important thing, and as long as the diamond isn''t hazy from the fluorescence (which I doubt they would rate it so highly if it were), then it shouldn''t have any negative effect. If you call and ask I''m sure they would tell you. If that were the only real difference I would go with the first one, just for the extra size and because i LOVE fluorescence! But definitely call, because again, I could be way off.

Thank you for the quick post kelli. I thought the same thing and I''m interested what others have to say.

An ACA can only be called that if it has been cut by Whiteflash. It is their branded cut.

The 1.5ct is an ACA. The 1.674ct is not a stone cut by WF and is not in-house. They would need to call it in, photograph and inspect it. There are no photos yet but based on the specs, they are giving it the "cherry" rating, which means it has great potential.

If you are looking for something at a nice price and are willing to get an I1 with an big inclusion that can be covered up by a prong check out this one.

1.67ct F I1

Thanks swingirl I didn''t realize it wasn''t cut by Whiteflash. I just remember someone saying they bought an ACA with med. blue fl. and that since it was a K, they could make an exception and call it that, because usually medium and stronger can''t be in their top diamonds. Something like that, but I''m glad someone corrected me. Definitely don''t wanna give wrong info on ps
