Hey All,

Here is one of the photos i promised. I'd like again to thank all of you for your help, with out this site and all of you, i question whether or not i would have made the purchase. It really is nice to have a community so willing to help and share there expertise. I've also realized how much i like looking at stones. Its really fun. No matter the size, color or clarity all stones I've looked at have some eye candy for me. I've purchased my first loupe and hoping to receive it shortly.

I'll try and post more photos as i take them. it's not easy to do with a point and shoot and resizing them was a challenge. so here goes. all comments are welcome and please be frank, all of it helps with my education. hope i've made you guys proud. if there are angles or shots you'd like me to try let me know. I'll do my best to accommodate.

Jj

That is just beautiful!!

(And pretty good photos to boot :)!! )

Beautiful ring, and nice pics.

Check your owners manual; If your camera has a white balance adjustment you may want to set it to match your light source.
Then the pics won''t have a yellowish cast.

You will know you have it set correctly when the background looks white (if that is white leather in the background).

Also I''d brighten up the exposure either at the camera or after the camera using your software.

GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

Jj08,

Thank you all. I''ll keep trying to improve the shots, they do look dark.

I love the ring! Could we have a side shot? I would be interested to see how the shank joins up to the head.

Well done

I did notice the blues, orange and yellows, i assume that''s the fire that most talk of. It was hard to get a clean shot with out it. I did the best i could. i''ll try and work on the lighting somemore. The color is a little better thanks to the tip from MOH 10! Still needs teaking, but enjoying it all.

Nice, good photos. :)

If you can take them during the day, in natural diffused lighting, it helps a lot.
