1ct pendant in yellow gold Stuller setting

Hi All! I am glad to finally share pics of my pendant that I had set a few months ago. This diamond was my grandmother's and my dad gave it to me after she passed away several years ago. She was a bling lover from WAY back so I am sure she is pleased as punch that it is being enjoyed!

I wanted it bezel set but my jeweler thought to bead set it in a bezel mounting would let all the diamond show and still give me the design I liked. It is exactly 1.00 ct but only around 6.15mm or so. The jeweler said it had a very thick girdle so maybe it doesn't suffer from the performance issues of some overly deep stones. I am sorry, but I have no info re: clarity or color. My ring is an H as well as my earrings and they all seem to be pretty close. It is completely eye clean even when I obsessively stare at it from 3 inches away. All I know is that it sparkles beautifully and I get lots of compliments! I may consider a recut if it was thought that would be a big performance enhancer, but for now I am loving it as is.

Fine print: Since it is on my neck, I am suffering from "I wish I could see it so I could stare at my new shiney all day-itis" and may order a consult regarding a cure that can be placed on my wrist, but that is for another thread!

I just got a cute little OEC that I'd like to put in a pendant but then I wont be able to stare
at her all day! I just saw somebody did a beautiful rose gold bezeled braclet that I'm thinking

Thank you June, Roxy, Rose, and tyty for the compliments. I feel lucky to have a lovely reminder of my grandmother whenever I am in front of a mirror I never take it off and just take a baby toothbrush to it, my earrings, and my rings just about every morning. My DH saw me clean it and my earrings one morning while I had them on and just laughed and laughed. I was like, what??? you wash your truck constantly and that takes you an hour! This takes 30 seconds! Oh well. He only gets excited about tools so...we're on different planets.

Here's a couple more pics of it. Yes - I do need to try to get some shots of it outside. When I am waiting in the carpool line and notice it in my car mirror...WOW it is firey!

TYTY - that was totally weird that you mentioned a rose gold bezel bracelet! I will have to try to find what you were talking about! Just today I called to get a quote on a DBTY in rose gold with white bezels but for fancy shapes. I am going to start a thread to get some input. I want it to be pretty and feminine but a little off the beaten path! Like me

It looks great! I think a 1ct pendant is the perfect size (for daily wear), of course I'd love a 3ct for special occasions I absolutely love it with the rope chain! Definitely adds more sparkle.

Thank you 04diamond - it is a perfect size for me and yes, a 3 ct for those days when a little extra bling is called for would be fantastic! (deep down I'm hoping some day my mom will come off her 3+ct cushion pendant she rocks...hello my sister got my other g-ma's harry winston style halo ring!?!) I'm terrible, I know.

Tyty - thank u for the link to katiedid's, late last night I got a chance to look for similar bracelets & found yssie's cushion/milgrain/rose & white/triple strand extravaganza! Helloooooo why didn't I search here before??? I don't know about milgraining for me, but the way they JUMP OUT AT YOU from that chain is what I am hoping for. Waiting to hear back...<tapping foot>
