18kt white gold vs platinum setting

Hi all

, I am looking for a setting and not sure which is a better route the 18kt white or the platinum? they say the 18kt can chip and as time goes on the platinum with bend and you need to get it adjusted. I plan on getting a setting that is pave?
which one is best for me for the long term?

At the moment, due to the mad plat prices, alot of ppl are going with gold instead. But its really up to ur preference and budget.
