18k White gold solitare

Ordered a 18k white gold solitare which is hand engraved around the ring. Will this be a problem for when replating is needed on the ring?

no, as long as the jeweler who does the replating knows what he is doing.

I wouldn''t have thought so, just make the jeweller aware of the engraving.

Well the entire ring is engraved with a design that is why I wondered if this can be replated

It can. Replating is just an electro-chemical reaction, as long as the surface is clean, exposed to the rhodium solution, the ring is conductive throughout, it will plate.
