I am torn between the two. All of the 14k pieces I have seen have a lovely rose color while the 18k pieces varied from a soft rose to nearly yellow. Is there a benefit to going with one over another?

Well, you called it a "lovely rose colour" - so that seems like a pretty clear preference 8)

RG can be quite brittle, I understand? So I'd probably just ask the vendor and go with his/her recommendation. I know 14k can tarnish - silver polish clears it up though.

When I got mine I figure 18k must be better (higher gold content) but after wearing it..
I think 18k stratches more easily than 14k rose gold ... good luck deciding!

I prefer 18K. To me 14K is too red, 18K is just nicely rose. Anyway not all 18K looks the same, nor 14K does.

I agree with Yssie--It sounds like you prefer 14K.

My upgrade setting is 18K rose gold, and I wear it with a 14K twist band. I prefer the 18K because it looks peachy-rose next to the 14K pinky-rose. Personal preference, though, of course!

When it comes to rose gold, I *always* think it's beautiful, 14K OR 18K.
