10k budget - round diamond engagement ring

Hi,

I am new to all of this. I read through a lot of the info on this site but I am a bit overwhelmed.

I am looking for an engagement ring and I have a 10k total budget. I need a round diamond. Any recommendations? I was thinking 1.5 carats, maybe SI1 and G or H in color. I am a little lost on the cut grades (Hearts, Ideal, Premium ... etc.)

What do you recommend?

How much did you plan on spending for the setting? Also remember to take out shipping and appraisal costs from your budget too.

I''d be open to stones <1.5 and there is a big price break for I color.
