It takes a lot of surprise me on ebay these days. But this one managed it.

You get what you pay for???

It looks like a giant carbon spot! Or maybe it''s the exceedingly rare Very Strong GRAY Fluorescence!

Well...it''s...I don''t even know...

Looks like the Superman special !

Clark Kent buys this for a steal on ebay and then presses it to D IF quaility with his bare hands before presenting it to Lois Lane.

best.deal.ever.

Rainwood, you have a generous soul. At best I would have given it is 'charcoal' flourescence.

I can honestly say it's "stunning"... I'm stunned.

Kitcha... see, you are stunned too. The diamond is therefore stunning.

HopeDream... yeah, a comic book fantasy is about what that things chances are of growing up to be a D IF one day. Maybe even less chance than that.

Well, would ya look at that! Stunning alright.

I actually like the setting style... well hey, they have a return policy, right?

That vendors who sell this junk get powerseller status...is a real eyeopener - and a warning not to just trust ratings!

ebay never ceases to amaze and provide entertainment. in colored stones, we found someone on ebay selling polished moose turds.

But...but...what is it???

Do I also see a substantial crack on that " stone" at 5 o'clock???

probably.

Hmm.....

Who sets that piece of muddy gravel and then thinks, "Hey, this looks great. This will make some girl really happy?"???

I was going to say at least no one has bid on it, but then realized they have it set up to either pay $650 or "make an offer". They''d have to pay ME to take that sucker home.

Shocked you veterans don''t recognize FINE jewelry when you see it.

Have you ever wondered why someone would waste the listing fees to list something like that?

Put it back in the ground. I don't think Mother Nature has finished the coal to diamond conversion yet.

The crazy part is that someone is going to buy that and think they got a great deal. Maybe they need a new glass cutter or industrial drill bit.

LOL - you've just answered my eternal dilemma of what to say when I see a yucky engagement ring.

From now on I will be able to honestly say its stunning (while thinking I'm stunned at how horrible it is)

2 birds 1 stone

ETA: And for this ring I can use "amazing" cos I'll be amazed that somebody actually bought such a ring

Although it might be worth an offer of $50 purely for the gold

Hmmmm well idk about being an engaement ring. But I think it''s an interesting stone...

You guys are so picky. I think I see arrows.

I guess it''s my turn to be the one person who, perversely, kinda likes it.

Not as a diamond, to be sure. But it''s not a bad polished-up bit of asphalt.

I''m with you. Not as an engagement ring (obviously), but... it''s kind of interesting.

Actually I kind of like the setting.
Maybe I''ll offer $50

Because some poor sap will see only that it''s a diamond and it''s big and cheap and buy it!! I''m always amazed by the things some people will buy. There really is a buyer out there for anything...
33.gif

you''re paying for the gold ring....the diamond is FREE!!

Erm.... hmmmm...

Yeah.

It''s actually kind of pretty, but not to be touted as a "diamond ring." Something on the artsy/funky side that''s not $650? Sure, that''d be ok. But not this thing.

Brassy 10k gold and rather uneven - you can do a lot better!

I like the setting and the stone is interesting -- not $650 worth of interesting, however!
