Went to the diamond district in ny and found an SI2 with the above specs and with a loupe could only see a tiny black speck on the side of the diamond. It actually looked like it could have easily been an SI1 or even VS2. Is this a decent price?

Was it certified? By who? What cut? What shape?

I''m sorry. It is GIA certified, ideal cut, radiant.

Who said it''s ideal? GIA doesn''t use that term...

It''s certainly in the ballpark for price, but to really be sure it''s a nice stone pictures and more specs would be great. Cut is the real telling factor here...

Hmm, I didn''t write down the specs, but in retrospect I believe it is good cut.

You just said ideal...this is really important because the best cut will give you the best sparkle. See if you can get the GIA report # from the dealer then we can look it up online and try to help some more!

Yup, what neat said - there are worlds inbetween from good to ideal cut!
