Thank you all so much for your replies. I went through a bunch more stones and did the HCA on all of them. I seem to really like this one:
http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_h_vs2#p=1483463

It is a 1.8 on HCA and a bit cheaper. Does it look as good to you as it does to me at this price point?

Thanks again!

That has a pretty big table.....Can you get pictures and idealscope images? I wouldn't ever suggest buying a stone with out them!

Hi 04diamond thank you for your reply. I have the GIA certificate which I attach ...

Well...the table is still a bit large for my taste. Again, I would still require an ideal scope to see how it performs.

I love the one that Niel posted, but JBEG has another one that's 15k for the diamond and the setting and is gorgeous!

Have to add that I think both of these options are better than what you're looking at. And the strong blue fluorescence on the 1.71 is STUNNING! :love:

Hmm I prefer a diamond without fluorescence and I'm having a setting made at a local jeweler. I think I will go with the last diamond I posted: http://www.zoara.com/diamonds/p_round_excellent_cut_h_vs2#p=1483463

As it is a GIA excellent cut with an HCA score of 1.8! Thoughts?

Table is a little bigger than what I prefer (I like 55-58) but it should still be a nice stone. It's cheaper than your other options too.

We've given you our opinions on that stone but you keep asking about it. There's no point if you've already made up your mind. There's NOTHING wrong with fluorescence!

+1 million ::)

They have a similar 1.7 I VS stone selling on BGD right now for 17k, and thats without the setting. so i bet if you ask them to sell it without the setting maybe and offered 14k they would at least entertain it. I know for some things they will sell it without the setting, i dont know about consignment though. thats a really good deal and a stunning stone

Thank you all so much for your help!!!! I bought the 1.72 carat stone from Zoara, really appreciate it!
