This is what I decided on given my limited budget (<$12K). Walking around the LA diamond district I was able to get better deals, but wanted the ability to upgrade in a couple years when I start making money and to do so without having to live in LA, hence an online purchase from JA.

I hope hope hope she will like it. It seems to sparkle a lot and it appears white enough that I'm not worried about the J color. Should I keep it or get something else? If something else, hopefully something from JA so I can exchange it rapidly before I propose.

I just got a J SI1, (mine is an August Vintage cushion from Good old Gold) and I absolutely LOVE it!!! It sparkles like crazy.

And FYI... the fact that you care so much, are doing your homework, and WANT her to love it... means she will love it! It is YOU she is saying yes to... not the diamond!!
