PS,

I have another diamond to consider.. I am looking for insight on a diamond that scores "Very Good" on all 4 catagories of the Holloway Cut advisor 2.6 TVP. I have basically no experience in looking at diamonds in person, so how can you tell between an" Excellent" rating in 4 catagories or a "Very Good" in all catagories when you look with your naked eye ????

This diamond is a bit deep SS, it could be a pretty stone, but personally I would prefer less depth - between 60 - 62% or a little more. Generally, aim for diamonds which score 2 or below on the HCA in most cases. I don't know whether there would be that much, if any difference that a lay individual could see between VG VG VG and EX EX EX, the cut advisor can't see the stone and is basically used for elimination. I think it would come down to personal preference between that diamond and one with less depth and a larger table and more shallow crown angle.

I would look for a E-G vS2 and use HCA for elimination - if you like H then go for a medium to strong fluoro stone
