I am thinking of pulling the trigger on this stone... I like the fact that it has 60% table and still scored a 1.4 on HCA. What do you guys think?

Also, I am thinking of pairing this with the James allen handmade 6 prong solitare ring:

Seems to be pretty close to a tiffany setting.

Appreciate your expert advice.

Thanks!

Well, it looks like the diamond will be beautiful. Did you get the ASET for it? I personally prefer a little smaller table, but that is something that someone not OCD re: diamonds probably wouldn't know or care about!

JA will evaluate 3 diamonds for you to see which one performs the best, so I would take advantage. I would also request idealscope images.

Here are three for you

Wow, that's a promising stone. OP, this is a nice stone, perhaps you can consider it. If I didn't already get a stone, I would have taken this stone from your thread! Sorry! But it's all yours! Nice find, FG.

Thank you guys so much for your help. Even though I did not want to go lower than an F, I think the 1.39 stone you found is beautiful. I have the stone on hold and awaiting back a review from their gemologist.

What do you guys think abou the setting i picked out?

I think it will be a beautiful combo. I personally would prefer the G diamond over the F for myself. It will still look white to the eye, and I think it will perform better.

Thumbs up on both! Please post a pic of the IS image up, so we can all see it! This stone just recently popped up, and I think you have a potential winner! Good job!

That 1.39 is a FIND... in my book.. love you setting choice too!!!

Well guys, I decided to go with the 1.34 F VS2. I was rooting for the 1.39 G, but the gemologist just came back with her report and said that the 1.34 performed much better than the 1.39 G. It had much better scintillation and fire, and it was also very bright white (on the higher end of the F scale), while the G was on the bottom end of the G scale. They were both priced about the same, the 1.34 F was actually 100 bux more. I hope I made the right choice!!!

^I'm sure there's no wrong decision when you go with what you feel most comfortable with! Congrats, man.

Hey! Did you end up going with the James allen handmade 6 prong solitaire setting? If so, do you have any pictures? I am thinking about buying the JA setting, but would love to see some real life photos first.

Thanks,
Dave

Wow, I have to admit that I'm surprised. The G looked like a winner. Did they send you IS images of the two stones? If so, would you mind posting them? Congrats on finding your diamond, I think it will look amazing in the solitaire. I recently had considered having the head of my ring changed to that one. I'd love to see photos when you receive the ring!
