Hello,

I have a diamond that has the following stats.

Depth: 61.5%
Table: 55%
Crown Angle: 34
Pavilion Angle: 40.6

Color Grade: I
Clarity: VS1
Carat: 1.00

Do I have a decent diamond on my hands?

Thanks!

Your Diamond HCA's at .6 XXXV, which is a good start.

VS1 should mean that it's eye clean, and I think that "I" color is usually a good value for the price.

The only other variable that you didn't mention is who graded it an I VS1, is it a GIA/AGS cert? Also, what was the cut grade?

Are you looking at buying it? or do you own it already?

Can you post the report?

I do have the GIA report!

I think it looks like a nice stone. I've heard to take precaution with indented naturals and to have them checked out thoroughly by an independent appraiser because it can affect the structural integrity of the stone, but I'm not sure if that's a big deal on this stone or not.

I think it looks like a nice stone as well. Can you get idealscope images? Since it's a VS1 I tend to think that the natural won't be an issue, but like tampabull said, it's always best to have it thoroughly evaluated.
