.08 mm for halo?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any pictures/ideas of the look of a 2 carat cushion with a halo comprised of .08 mm diamonds?

I want a very delicate halo, and have some some research and seen some beutiful ones here. Does anyone have one of this size so I can visualize it?

I didn''t even know there were 0.08 mm diamonds. Maybe you mean 0.8 mm diamonds?

Oops! Yes, .8 is what I meant. I think this means it''s close to 1 point - is that right?

Hmm.

MY halo is made up of 1.3 mm diamonds. They are less than a point each. MUCH less than a point. Like .66 so you might want to check your point size to mm size. I think .8mm melee (whatever the carat weight) would look AMAZING with your cushion. Becareful there isn''t too much metal though, or all the delicacy is lost.

My halo is made up up 1.0mm diamonds. (pictured in my avatar) My center measures 8.2 x 9.0mm. Just to give you an idea.

Whoops, had to correct myself. My halo is tapering, my corners (by the claw prongs) are 1.0mm. The remaining halo diamonds measure 1.3mm.

That definitley helps. I think I have a better idea of the size ratio now.

Maybe this will help you.......(round melee)

.007/.008 ct. stones measure around 1.0mm
.01 ct. stones measure 1.3mm
.015 ct. stones measure 1.7mm
