Hello,

I have just discovered this site and I am overwhelmed to say the least. I have been checking out some of the PS vendors and I found that Abazias has very resonable prices. I am looking to either buy just the diamond and have it set locally or have it set. Here is the diamond I am looking at http://www.abazias.com/database/NewDiamondInfo.asp?stock=98184739&src=builder

it doesnt have a GIA cert but if is around 1 level less on the C's than I'm ok with that. Seems like a good value and would be set in simple solitaire setting suck as this one http://www.abazias.com/database/eng...re-Engagement-Ring-Setting_ENG-S-99-10423.asp in yellow gold

I would like to spend under 3K for the diamond and setting and this certainly fits the bill, but not sure what the experts will think of this and any opinions would be appriciated.

Thank You

This is an EGL graded stone so it will probably be lower in color/clarity than equivalent GIA/AGS stone. I'm doubting
that this stone is cut well. It is measuring in the 4.8mm range and should be measuring in the 6.3ish+ range.
Something really wrong here but EGL report is not loaded and just cant tell.

Its almost impossible to get a well cut nice stone close to 1 carat for $1800. You can call ABAZIAS and ask them about
the stone to see what they have to say.

Here are some other ideas in your $3k budget.

I agree that there is something wrong with the stone. A stone with the measurements listed on the website(4.86-4.89-3.05) should have a weight around 0,45ct. Abazias must have made a mistake with the listing unfortunately.

My thoughts exactly, either there is a mistake on the listing or the stone is super super super deep!

Thanks Central Square, I have it on hold and am thinking about the stone you suggested. I see that WF will give $100 to someone who refered you and I was wondering if you would like that referal?
