Hello everyone,

My fiance and I are both young teachers so we want to purchase a nice engagement ring but we don''t have a lot of money to spend on it.

What do you think of this diamond? Good or bad?

In all honesty, if you want a chunky cushion I would get one of GOG''s August Vintage cushions. That particular cushion just doesn''t cut it optically, for me.

I have seen better cushions certainly, however this one still appears to be an attractive stone even with the large table. It probably doesn't have the best optical performance compared to some of Jon's signature cushions but not everyone is looking for perfection for cut and it could be a good buy for someone certainly for the money, it depends on what you want. One thing though, I don't think the lifetime upgrade policy is offered on this diamond should you decide to buy it, I don't know if that would make any difference to you? Also you would need to check it is eyeclean to your standards by asking Jon.
