Hi, thank you very much. I showed this to a supposedly " turquoise specialist" and he said it is not it. I also thought it was turquoise. Thanks again

3rd vote for larimar. Until a month ago I hadn't ever even heard of larimar, but saw it in every jewelry store during our vacation in Maui. Pretty movement, but I knew the prices were touristy.

It could also be dyed composite howlite. They make it to look turquoise like. The photo looks not as blue as other larimar I have seen before.

I saw a lot of “Larimar” offered at NY NJ Gem show this spring. I didn’t look closely but the sizes and quantity available made me think it was some imitation. I’m sure dyed howlite can be made to look like Larimar as well
