Hello everyone,

I've been going through the forums and trying to learn as much as I can but I was hoping you might be able to help me with any opinions/advice on the following diamonds. We are looking at lab created diamonds and the prices vary quite a bit between Brilliant Earth (most expensive, Clean Origin and Diamond Foundry (least expensive but limited selection).

Clean origin has the following diamonds listed under their "Rare Finds" and we were trying to decide between the 2.18 and 2.07 diamond.

https://www.cleanorigin.com/diamonds/rare-finds-collection#diamond_carat=2,3&diamond_shape=3

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

The 2.18 has an HCA score under 2.0 so the angles look like they should work well together:

The crown is a bit low, though, so it is likely to have more white light return than coloured fire.

The video also appears to show some internal graining that might be affecting light performance? I think this would have to be examined 'in real life' if the stone is otherwise your preferred choice.

The 2.07 is a '60/60' stone, so will also favour white light return and brightness, rather than coloured fire, and the HCA score does come in under 2 so the angles should work well.

I would note that this stone also seems to have some internal graining visible, so my earlier comments apply here also.

Do check out August Vintage Inc.'s offerings of MMDs if you are in the market - member Rhino on here is a good chap and will be happy to assist you :)
