It is platinum. I love Art Deco and especially baguettes. But the prongs on the little sidestones seem to look more like the 80’s.
So what era is this from?
My other question is, is it a bezel setting? Will the stone sink in and will the bezel show? If so, why does it have 4 prongs?
I’m on the fence bc I like it enough, but I can’t envision how it will look. I played around with earring to drop them in. My estate jeweler is out until Friday. Tomorrow. I know. But I want to decide ASAP.

Those prongs could definitely be refined.
I can't give any advice on the age of the setting, but I think it is really lovely!
re: the bezel- it's possible that it was originally a bezel setting, but then the prongs were added in order to accommodate a larger stone. A good jeweler could remove the prongs completely and rebuild the bezel.

So the mount was too big for prong setting and I went with bezel. I know it’s not perfect, but I’m ok with it. Lol.

Thank you! Yes. It’s unusual. But I’m enjoying all of the unusual elements for now!

Sure, and thank you! It’s been a challenge to pair it with a band but I picked up this one yesterday, so here is one pic!
