I'd have DK wait until the new stones arrive to do the final CADs.

Good! Yoram is the best, isn't he?!

It's just always wise for the ringmaker to have the stones prior to casting. Then they can be absolutely certain everything fits perfectly.

And that’s how you do customer service.

You’ve just guaranteed me as a future customer at some point @diagem (although admittedly your stones did that all by themselves some time ago!).
Ditto - I'm not sure what I'll ever be able to afford from Yoram but the incredibly beautiful stones and the fantastically nice customer service are a total package

Thank you for the warm words, I appreciate them but it’s not realy necessary. When I discussed the original options with Lookinagain, her main concern was the length of the three French Cut Diamonds and their potential finger coverage.

By me being able to efficiently help complete a clients vision and creation, in my book it is elementary.

Thank you and have a great weekend PS’ers....

My three french cuts finally arrived at their destination (via slow Registered Mail) and I have the updated CAD showing the four 1.5mm french cuts that Yoram offered to provide. I am definitely going this way. Much more pleasing to my eyes than the small rounds.

Ooh yeah. That’s the right look. How long will your ring take to make?

I’m not sure exactly but DK is usually fairly fast so I’m guessing a few weeks.

Love! New CADS look great! Love how the new stones step down and finish off the look...really satisfying that everything came together in this thread!

I should have been more precise. I would think it will be a few weeks after the tiny french cuts are received by DK.

I am thinking of having the engraving style in The attached. Do you think that will work with the design of the ring?

oh wow! Looks fabulous so far!

I think that engraving will work...its not my favorite engraving but then again...not my ringsad :(( (if only!)

Edit...I like more swirly engraving...

I like swirly too but since the ring is so geometric I thought the swirling might not be right for it. That is kind of my dilemma.

Your ring is stunning!
I love the wheat engraving and especially the one in your inspiration pic. David works with a great engraver!

I think engraving would compliment this ring/style very much

I think it's pretty already as plain,
But I do think the wheat, while also not usually my favorite, looks 'right' with your ring..
But I saw a rose gold band he did a while back that was a type of orange blossom engraving, angular but still a bit softer. I think that would be pretty, too.

It’s looking extremely good and engraving will be the icing on the cake! I agree with others that the engraving in the photo is quite harsh and that something softer but still linear would be a good middle ground.

Out of interest, @Lookinagain, are your French cuts Yoram’s split cornered style (so with an octagonal table rather than square/diamond shaped)?

This is how they are described on his website

Shape: Square French Cut (Octagonal shape table or split corner facets.)

YES!!! I think the wheat pattern will look perfect on your ring! My original e-ring is a three-stone in 18k YG with wheat engraving. I probably would've chosen a more swirly engraving pattern (like the one on my upgrade), but I do love the look of the wheat. Also, the texture feels really cool! LOL! :mrgreen2:

Here's a pic that shows the side of the ring, where you can see the wheat pattern:

And this is what the sides look like:

If you've already thought of this- I apologize
If you are looking for something 'different' in the engraving aspect-
Don't limit yourself to looking at rings - search for lockets / cufflinks as well.
That's where I found my inspiration:

You ring will be gorgeous either way you choose-
Heck- wear it polished smooth for a while, you can always send it back when you are certain!

Thank you. I like that. I’ve asked David what linear/angular patterns might be available so maybe he has something too.

just to close the loop, I received a video from DK of the completed ring last night. I expect I will receive it early next week. Here are a few screen snips of his video. I think it turned out great and can't wait to receive it. Thank you all for your helpful comments.
