In July 2024, round diamonds continued to be the most popular shape of diamond on the market, making up 85.78% of popularity and increasing by 3.34% (popularity) since June 2024. Emerald increased in rank from third to second place and increased by 14.62% (popularity) since June 2024. Oval shifted down to third place and decreased in popularity by 11.67% since June 2024. Cushion remains in fourth place and increased by 17.86% (popularity) since June 2024. Princess remains in fifth place and increased in popularity by 5.45%.

This July the average price per carat for a round diamond of 1 – 1.19 carat G color VS1 clarity is $5,934 compared to June 2024 which was an average price of $6,147. The average price per carat for round diamonds has decreased by 3.47% since last month.
