Proposing to your sweetheart can be a daunting task! And sometimes, a little rehearsal is required. Video requires Flash. Watch at the YouTube.

We are in the midst of one of the most romantic times of the year, Proposal Season! From the beginning of February through March 20–aka National Proposal Day–couples are feeling the love and getting engaged. So to help people propose to their significant others, the American Gem Society (AGS) and American Gem Society Laboratories (AGSL) have launched the second annual Perfect Proposal Toolkit.

The interactive toolkit is designed to give people fun ways to ask, “Will you marry me?” And it also gives examples of rings that work well depending on one’s proposal style. The toolkit is divided into these style categories–Romantic, Funny, Adventurous, Proposal 2.0, and Simple–to get you started. Below you’ll see the ring styles from the “Simple Proposal” category.

And to top it off, the American Gem Society is also running a contest for people to win a $2,500 AGS gift card. The gift card can be used at any participating AGS certified jeweler. Visit www.americangemsociety.org/proposal to enter and check out the Perfect Proposal Toolkit.

“While it is certain that we will not be able to alleviate the nerves that many will have when they actually ask the big question, the Perfect Proposal Toolkit is meant to be a great resource for providing creative and interactive proposal and ring buying ideas,” said Ruth Batson, CEO of American Gem Society and American Gem Society Laboratories. “It is exciting to launch the Toolkit for a second year and I hope that visitors take advantage of the tips, as well as enter a contest to win jewelry!”
