DIAMOND PRICE CHART FOR OLDMINER DIAMONDS: PRICES UPDATE MONTHLY
This OLDMINER diamond price chart shows changes in diamond prices over the past few turbulent years for different sizes. Note the price dip late 2008 (the financial crisis), then stabilized and rose until the Covid pandemic, then rose with supply shortages and the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Russia supplies around 30% of all rough diamonds). Prices then began to fall as lab grown synthetic diamond supply’s increased driving down prices.
The source is real live data of the more than 1.2 million natural diamonds listed on PriceScope. There are two main categories of listings: Inhouse diamonds are often pre-screened for quality and are either owned by the vendor listing them or the vendor has exclusive rights to sell them online. Virtual diamonds listed by some of our vendors are often drop shipped. Prices of most of these diamonds are set by Business to Business listings with vendors typically adding a smaller margin. More care should be taken when selecting virtual stones.
