Does anyone have some yoga DVD recommendations that they could share? What did you like/not like about the ones you''ve tried?

Thanks

collagevideo.com is a workout video online store, and they have tons of workout videos, including yoga. They have reviews on them as well.

oddoneout, have you gone to a yoga class before?

I would recommend attending one if you are a beginner, just so that the instructor can help you get into the poses correctly. If you just follow a DVD without knowing anything about yoga poses, you might sustain an injury.

Just looking out for you.

I really like Ali MacGraw''s "Yoga, Mind and Body" video with Erich Schiffman and have recommended it to friends throughout the years. It''s a good one to have on hand when I can''t go to a class. For anyone who hasn''t done yoga before, it''s wise to go to a class and get a basic idea of the poses before tackling a video. One thing I always do is ask friends or ask the front desk people at the studios if they can recommend some favourite instructors. A great instructor makes ALL the difference.

If anyone has any good Vinyasa flow video recommendations, I would love to hear them! My favourite instructor took off to Costa Rica for a month.

I heard he went to India four times to get "authorisation" to be a yoga instructor

I''m currently doing one yoga DVD so I have some experience I''d just like to get some more DVDs to change it up.

Thanks

I bought this yoga dvd (Complete Yoga for everybody) a few years ago (I used to take yoga lessons) and it is the greatest one so far because it breakdowns the routines for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Now at each of these levels it is also broken down for under 30 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins, 60 mins and has routines for various needs. For example, general routine, meditation routine, hips, neck, back etc.

Check it out here at amazon http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Every-Body-Over-Routines/dp/B00006RCNF and I am sure you will love this one.

mine isn''t a DVD but I recommend trying yogatoday.com. They have free weekly yoga classes and the instructors are fantastic. I do have some DVDS but for the life of me can''t remember the names, they are fun though so I''ll get the names of them tonight.

I love it too! It''s challenging, but yummy at the same time. I think my instructor studied under Peter Sterios in California, who is supposedly amazing! I''m hoping she comes back from her yoga retreat in Costa Rica soon - she promised she would bring back some new tricks
