Yikes- 34 carat diamond!

Oh wow, what an amazing story!

I'm living in the wrong country.. why do I always read these stories about these diamonds found at "boot" sales..ugh.

Incredible!

pity the story didn’t mention the color or clarity.

i'm overly cynical but could also be it came from somewhere shady

"the stone's owner, who wanted to remain anonymous, could not recall where or when she acquired it."

Crazy! Anyone with an idea what they would do with it?

Halo it! (did not one say that yet?)

Seriously though, something that big feels like a collector's item. If I had to make a wearable piece of jewelry from it, it would be a pendant on a long chain. =)

I love stories like this (I want it to happen to meeeeeeee). Reminds me of another story that I shared a while back about a woman who wore a ring for years, thinking it to be costume and it was also a giant old cut diamond. She bought it for around $10.

Wow, what a honker.
I love these stories, but what how much did she pay for the boots?

Be royalty and use it as a doorknob.

Lol, I think. Were you joking or not familiar with the term boot sale which is the equivalent of a flea market in the US. Please forgive me if I missed intended humor. My brain hasn't been firing on all cylinders all week.

nope not big enough for Mara.

Looking at that 'to scale' pic has made me realise there's no such thing as too big where I'm concerned. I'd wear that baby as a ring!

Just joking.
