For those who don''t know, I''m expecting a proposal by the end of 2007, (16 more weeks!!!), and up until this point whenever I''ve asked about the ring he''s planning to get, he always says, "I want to pick it myself. I don''t want you to know what you are getting and I want to like it and pick something for you from me." I''ve always felt that statement was sweet but at the same time a tad odd since I do have to wear it everyday and to have no idea what it will look like and him not taking my preferences into consideration worries me. I know exactly where he will shop, a wonderful B&M dealer where we picked out diamond studs and a tennis bracelet in the past. So I went there and left a card on file for him about 3 mos. ago detailing specifics like ring size and examples of rings/settings I LOVE from within the store. When I mentioned to him that I left that card on file for him, he said, "Well I may or may not look at it." I was worried at this point but still happy since it''s been 7 years and I just want to finally get engaged & married to this man...BUT last night over dinner he asked if I would print out some pics of rings/settings that I liked and write what I liked about them! He also asked me to recommend some websites so he can become more educated on diamonds/diamond buying, (he knows about my PS addiction)

I cannot tell you how RELIEVED I am! I am gonna get to marry the most wonderful man AND get a ring I LOVE! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I hope he does it sooner than in 16 weeks! (I know that''s getting greedy...lol

) I''m so happy, just wanted to share!

Well my absolute favorite is the Winne/Fatguy/MMM. Haven''t looked at many more, but I will today! I really want a halo though with a cushion or oval.

That''s my dream ring as well! I know you want to go to the local jeweler but if you really like that ring, my suggestion would be to go to Mark T at engagement rings direct. He is also an expert on cushions and can get you something beautiful for probably a lot less than a B&M.

I defintely wouldn''t be opposed to going to Mark at ERD, however BF won''t budge. He is extremely loyal and Americus Diamond really does have a wonderful reputation. He has received excellent service/prices there before so he won''t look elsewhere, (trust me I''ve tried!) But I''m happy with their work as well!
