YAY for belated b-day gifts! Lenses!

I get to buy my birthday gifts from my husband tomorrow! Lol yes, I am buying them myself, because they are belated. (My birthday always lands in between paychecks, dang it.) So tomorrow I am buying: Phoenix Wide Angle-Telephoto 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 and the Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro.

I am so excited!

Awesome MP! And it''s so great that you want lenses for your bday...even though you are shopping for yourself, I find that men like buying that kind of stuff so it''s a win win for everyone.

I ordered just the 50mm (I was told by some photo geeks that the Phoenix is not that great, so I decided to wait on that), and it should be here mid-week. I am so excited! I''ll be sure to post tons of pics when it comes in.

Yea the Phoenix is pretty bad.
Some of the stuff is rebranded sigma/tamron and isn't bad but that one isn't one of them.
The company that makes the phoenix lens is actually an oem for many brands and makes some top lens but the stuff they sell under their own name is mainly obsolete designs that they kept in production when the company they were making them for stopped having them produced with the metal parts replaced by plastic and cheaper glass is used.

How are you enjoying your new lenses? I am so excited. I ordered my Pentax f2.8 100mm macro lens today. Yippee. I also ordered a small light box.
