To keep things spicy in your relationship?

I saw an episode of All in the Family - and Gloria, a character on the show bought a wig for fun, just to change her appearance. She has long blond hair and the wig she bought was short and brown. Her husband thought she looked totally hot wearing the wig and hinted to her that she should wear it in the bedroom when they were intimate...she got offended.

What would you do - or what have you done?

If something was suggested and I didn''t find it offensive (to myself or the relationship) then I''d do it and vice versa.

Same scenario happened in Desperate Housewives too. The character Lynette needs chemo, loses her hair, gets a hot wig. Her hubby loves the hot new look. Initially she''s offended, but when she gets hot you know what, she''s happy and accepting. BUT THEN, she realized her hubby was actually disgusted by her actual look (i.e., bald head) and that is when she put her foot down to any more wigs in the bedroom.

And it would be pretty much be the same for me. If it was merely to spice things up, I would have no problem playing with a new look. But if the boy has issues with the way *I* look, then no friggin'' way jose.

I wear my hair big and super wavy, really dark or bright lipstick, and super high heels when when I want to spice things up. That's what DH loves, so why not?

As long as it isn't something that offends me personally, I'm happy to oblige.

Oh, and I love wigs. I would totally wear a wig if I knew it would turn on my DH.

ETA: I should add that I normally straighten my hair, wear only chapstick, and heels up to 2 inches.

Kind of similar story for me. BF loves to see me in high heels, and they are not something I normally wear. But I have no problem wearing them every now and than if that makes him happy.

I think any effort to keep things spicy is good, as long as everyone still feels safe, loved and validated.

That''s all I''m going to say...

I wonder what men think about this...I would like some male points of view! I would also like to know how the men would feel in this same situation - maybe not so much the wig, but maybe a fire fighter uniform or something!
