Yes, if it was YOU DF, I would expect you to pick up the tab.
Always, though, when we go out with friends, each couple picks up their own tabs. Once we had friends go out to dinner with us and we knew they were broke (this was in our early 20s) and we paid for everything. Now that we''re older, I wouldn''t ask them out to eat because they''re the type to still expect us to pay because that''s how they are.
We would always split the bill regardless of how the invitation was worded. We are not comfortable having anyone else pay for our meal. We would however, pay for someone else''s entire meal if we invited them out. I know, it doesn''t make sense. That''s just the way we are. We would pay for wine or drinks for the table too. Oh, but we''re in Canada.Date: 9/22/2009 3:29:59 AM

If I am alone [usually after a meeting or a conference or something], I always make a move for my handbag to put in my share of the bill. I ask ''how much do I owe?''. If it is with a group of ladies, somebody is always available to tell me what I owe. LOL! Interestingly, if there are guys involved, I will always be told not to be ridiculous and to put away my bag.
a note to myself...be sure not to ask Perry to join us for dinner.Date: 9/22/2009 10:36:07 PM

While it depends on many variables - I figure I should be clear in your case: If I''m having dinner with you - I''ll expect you to pick up the bill.
