Yes, it can make sense financially but all the people involved would have to be compatible in many ways.

yep, the present couple wakes up at 4:30 am and make so much noise that she can''t fall back asleep,so she''s going to move into the new place in about 3 weeks.

I don''t think that I could do it. Although I know someone who does it. They think it works well.

If I had to do it to pay the bills I would . When I was growing up in Detroit in the 60s my maternal grandparents had 2 different boarders. They were both from the local Polish community, so there were friends in common. They were older single men and they became members of the family really. Of course my mom later told me Babcia had an affair with one of them, so this may be a cautionary tale.
